There is not a shortage of things to do at the Stagecoach Ranch.  Here are a few of the activities and attractions offered on and near the ranch: 


THINGS TO DO ON STAGECOACH RANCH 

HIKING
-To your hearts content.  The Stagecoach Ranch backs up to 10,000+ acres of public land with miles of hiking and ATV trails.  Access to the Sangre de Cristo "Rainbow Trail" is only 10 miles away.

FISHING 
-Bring your fishing gear (fly or light spinning) and enjoy fishing on the ranch's Texas Creek or the nearby Arkansas River.  There is, also, fishing in numerous alpine lakes in the area.

HUNTING (See photos of Stagecoach Ranch hunts)
-In the fall we host hunters for archery, black powder, and rifle seasons.  The ranch is home to elk, mule deer, bear, and mountain lions.  We back up to 10,000 acres of limited access BLM land that provides excellent hunting opportunities.

HORSEBACK RIDING 

-Bureau of Land Management land encompassing more than 30,000 acres.  
-Access to the famous Rainbow Trail in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains is only 10 miles away.


MOUNTAIN BIKING
-Bring your bike and explore the many trails on BLM property backing the ranch.

MONARCH SKI AREA 
Monarch Mountain, located in South Central Colorado, is what you expect from a real Colorado ski area.   Along the continental divide with abundant natural snow (350+ inches) and friendly people are two of Monarch's strongest attributes. You can walk from your car right to the lifts, prices are reasonable, and the runs flow naturally back to the base area.

WHITEWATER RAFTING 

The Arkansas River boasts some of the best whitewater rafting in the state and is a fun activity for thrill seekers of all ages.  There are numerous rafting outfitters near the ranch.  Follow the link below to find the one that's best for you.

ROYAL GORGE RAILROAD
 
Ride a grand train on an epic adventure along the tumbling waters of the legendary Arkansas River deep within the granite cliffs of the Royal Gorge. Classes of service hark back to a time when travel was an elegant and leisurely affair, which has earned the Royal Gorge Route Railroad its reputation as the premier excursion railroad in the country.

MOTORCYCLE RIDES
Stagecoach Ranch provides enclosed parking for guests' motorcycles.  There are numerous scenic routes availabe leaving from the ranch that are very popular.  Every route promises spectacular mountain, forest and river scenery.

ROYAL GORGE 
Colorado's Natural Wonder. A place where looking down is even more breathtaking than looking up. A place that brings together the scenic beauty of the Grand Canyon and the architectural achievement of the Golden Gate Bridge.

GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK

RAINBOW TRAIL, SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS 

Enjoy a relaxed stroll or a challenging hike along Colorado's Rainbow Trail as it arcs through the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, providing roughly 100 miles of outdoor fun.  This trail is also suitable for horseback riding, ATVs, dirt bikes, or mountain biking.

DEWEESE RESERVOIR
Provides many recreational opportunities.  The reservoir is an ideal fishing spot and has boat access.
